The purpose of the WMU is to assist the church in furthering its mission and vision by developing, implementing and maintaining Christ-centered initiatives designed to help meet the spiritual and emotional needs of women in the ministry and in the community.

Monthly — Thursday after the 3rd Sunday

General Session: 6:00 p.m. — Chapel (Family Life Center)

Circle Meetings: 7:00 p.m. — Classrooms (Family Life Center)

 

Membership:
All women of the ministry.

 

Annual Activities:

• Women’s Day Celebration Weekend – Seminars & Worship Service

• Fall Retreat

• Mother-Daughter Tea

• YMA (Young Matron’s Auxiliary) Tea

Other Activities/Outreach Initiatives:

• Quarterly visitation to Mississippi State Hospital

• Circles’ adoption of the “sick and shut-in” members

• Participation and support of church-sponsered initiatives:

  • Reformation Celebration

  • Habitat for Humanity

  • Outreach Community Bible Study activities

  • AWANA
